QUESTION OR TOPICHow to be unique in the IT, when around there are so many businesses already existing?

We started working in 2012 with an unconventional name: MAKEING.
Over the years, some of the developers and colleagues we worked with repeatedly made fun of our name. They considered it a distorted or incorrect version of the word making, something that did not follow conventional naming rules.
But MAKEING has always had a deeper meaning for us. It stands for Make, Ideate and Gain: creating ideas that generate value and business growth.
At its core, this is what every business is about. You create an idea, develop it within a specific market, and turn it into something that helps people succeed and generate revenue. This principle has been part of our identity from the very beginning.
Not everyone believes in unconventional approaches. Some people prefer simplicity and familiarity. They believe a company should have a straightforward name, something like First Web Studio, with no room for ambiguity, experimentation, or anything that might be perceived as a mistake.
But being different has never stopped us.
Since 2012, we have developed more than 200 projects, including websites that have helped businesses improve their online presence, increase conversions, and grow. We have worked with many satisfied clients who have built and continue to develop successful businesses.
Of course, not every business survives. Statistics often suggest that a significant majority of businesses eventually close, while only a smaller percentage continue to grow and succeed. We have seen this reality through our own experience.
And we have also realized something important: we are constantly fighting not to become part of that statistic.
A business can close. A company can disappear. A team can decide to move into another industry. This is especially relevant today, when AI is rapidly changing the digital landscape and challenging traditional ways of working.
But in the end, much depends on how you build your identity and how you want others to perceive you.
If your primary goal is to help people, create value, and solve real problems, your chances of moving forward become stronger. Your name does not define your potential. Neither do the opinions of people who make fun of your approach or those who choose the path of least resistance simply because it is familiar.
Trying to be like everyone else is not always the safest strategy. Sometimes, it is the willingness to think differently, experiment, and develop your own approach that helps a business survive and evolve.
MAKEING is still here.
We have remained active since 2012, despite difficult periods, changing markets, and the growing influence of AI. We have continued to work, learn, adapt, and help businesses through conversion-driven websites and thoughtful digital experiences.
That is what matters to us.
Creativity, critical thinking, expertise, and continuous skill development are essential. But they should always have a clear purpose: to help people and their businesses move forward.
For us, that means creating conversion-driven websites that combine strategy, design, technology, and business goals. We believe a website should be more than just a visual representation of a company. It should contribute to the success of the business behind it.
We encourage everyone who is building something of their own to keep learning, growing, and looking for unconventional solutions. Do not be afraid to explore new paths, challenge familiar approaches, or develop your own perspective.
Keep improving your skills, but always understand why you are doing it and who you are trying to help.
We sincerely hope that MAKEING, despite being a small team, will continue to make its mark through exciting and meaningful projects around the world. With the support of our clients, partners, and everyone who believes in what we do, we look forward to many more years of growth and creative work.
To everyone who keeps working toward their goals, learning, and trying to build something meaningful, I wish you success, growth, and prosperity.
Keep creating. Keep learning. Keep moving forward.
Warm regards,
Eugene Batezat
