Privacy Policy and Open-Source AI Notices

This Privacy Policy explains how INGOAMPT handles information when you use the iOS/iPadOS application VideoVoice to Text INGOAMPT (“App”, “Service”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

VideoVoice to Text INGOAMPT is a utility app that helps users extract audio from their own videos, convert English audio files into text, and create natural English text-to-voice audio using offline Kokoro voice resources.

The App does not require account registration. You can use the App without creating an account, signing in, or giving us your name or email address inside the App.

2. Summary of Our Privacy Approach

No account or registration is required.
We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or address inside the App.
We do not operate our own server for storing your videos, audio files, typed text, transcripts, extracted audio files, or generated voice audio.
Files you select are used only for the feature you choose, such as extracting audio or transcription.
Text-to-voice generation using Kokoro voice resources runs on the device.
The typed or pasted text used for Kokoro text-to-voice is not uploaded by INGOAMPT to a voice-generation server.
Extracted audio, generated voice audio, and transcript text can be saved or shared by you using iOS sharing tools.
The free version of the App may show ads through Google AdMob.
The App uses Firebase Analytics to understand general app usage, feature usage, purchase-funnel activity, and app improvement opportunities.
The App uses Google User Messaging Platform to manage consent choices where required.
The App may request Apple App Tracking Transparency permission for advertising-related tracking where applicable.
The App includes a one-time Pro in-app purchase. Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store.

3. Information You Provide or Select in the App

Videos and Audio Files

When you choose a video from your device, the App uses the selected video to extract the audio. When you choose an audio file, the App uses that audio file for transcription.

INGOAMPT does not upload your selected videos, selected audio files, or extracted audio files to an INGOAMPT server. These files remain on your device unless you choose to save or share them using iOS sharing options.

Transcripts and Typed Text

When you transcribe an English audio file, the App displays the resulting transcript in the App. When you use the text-to-voice feature, the text you paste or type is used to generate speech audio on your device using offline Kokoro voice resources.

INGOAMPT does not store your typed text, pasted text, transcripts, or generated voice audio on an INGOAMPT server. You control whether to copy, clear, save, or share this content.

Generated Voice Audio

When you generate voice audio from text, the App may create a temporary audio file on your device so that you can listen to it, save it, or share it. Free users may generate short text-to-voice audio. Pro users can generate longer text-to-voice audio, subject to device capability and App limitations.

If you choose to share generated voice audio, the file is handled by the iOS share sheet and any app or service you choose. INGOAMPT is not responsible for third-party apps or services selected by you through the iOS share sheet.

Apple Speech Recognition

The App uses Apple Speech Recognition for the Audio to Text feature. Apple Speech Recognition may process audio on the device or may send audio data to Apple for processing, depending on device capabilities, language availability, iOS settings, and Apple’s speech recognition services.

Use of Apple Speech Recognition is subject to Apple’s own privacy practices and device permission settings. You can manage Speech Recognition permission in iOS Settings.

Offline Kokoro Text-to-Voice

The App includes offline Kokoro voice resources for English text-to-voice generation. This feature runs on the device using the voice resources bundled with the App. The text you type or paste for this feature is not uploaded by INGOAMPT to a remote voice-generation server.

Voice quality, speed, and generation time may vary depending on the device, text length, selected Kokoro voice, and system performance.

4. Permissions Requested by the App

Photo Library / Video Access

The App may request access to the photo library so you can choose a video for audio extraction. The App uses only the file you select for the feature you request.

Speech Recognition

The App requests Speech Recognition permission so it can convert selected English audio files into text.

Tracking Permission

The App may request Apple App Tracking Transparency permission. If you allow tracking, third-party advertising and analytics partners may use identifiers such as the advertising identifier for personalized advertising, advertising measurement, fraud prevention, or related purposes. If you do not allow tracking, the App may still show ads, but they may be less personalized.

5. Information Collected Automatically by Third-Party SDKs

The App uses third-party SDKs for advertising, consent management, analytics, App Store purchases, and Apple platform functionality. These providers may collect certain technical, usage, diagnostic, advertising, or device-related data according to their own privacy practices.

Google AdMob

The free version of the App may show ads using Google AdMob. Google AdMob and the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect information such as:

IP address, which may be used to estimate general location;
Device identifiers, such as advertising identifier or app/device-related identifiers;
Advertising data, such as ads shown or interacted with;
App interaction information, such as app launches, taps, or product interactions;
Crash logs, diagnostics, and performance data;
Other information used to provide, measure, improve, and personalize ads where permitted.

Google User Messaging Platform

The App uses Google User Messaging Platform to display and manage privacy and consent messages where required, including consent for personalized ads in certain regions.

Firebase Analytics

The App uses Firebase Analytics to understand general usage of the App, improve features, diagnose product performance, and understand the purchase funnel. Firebase Analytics may collect technical and usage information such as app launches, screen or feature interactions, device information, app instance identifiers, diagnostic information, and event data.

The App may log non-content events such as opening tabs, viewing the Pro screen, starting a purchase, completing a purchase, restoring purchases, tapping share or review buttons, checking consent status, using free feature limits, or loading App Store products. The App does not intentionally log the actual text you type, transcript content, selected audio content, selected video content, or generated voice audio content to Firebase Analytics.

Firebase Analytics data may be used in aggregated reports to help us understand how the App is used. If Firebase Analytics is connected with Google advertising products, analytics data may also be eligible for advertising measurement or ad optimization depending on consent choices, Google settings, and applicable law.

6. Advertising, Consent, and Tracking

Free users may see banner advertisements in the App. Pro users do not see the App’s AdMob banner ads after the Pro unlock is active.

Advertising partners may use identifiers, usage data, advertising data, and diagnostic data to provide ads, measure ad performance, prevent fraud, and improve advertising systems. Where required, the App will request consent before using data for personalized ads or tracking.

7. In-App Purchases

The App offers a one-time Pro in-app purchase. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. INGOAMPT does not receive or store your full payment card details.

The App may receive purchase entitlement information from Apple, such as whether Pro unlock is active, so that the App can enable Pro features, remove ads, and restore purchases.

The App may log non-content purchase-funnel events in Firebase Analytics, such as product loading, purchase started, purchase cancelled, purchase pending, purchase completed, or restore purchase result. These events are used to understand and improve the App and its advertising performance.

8. Offline Kokoro AI Voice Model and Open-Source Notices

The App includes offline AI voice and speech technology components to provide text-to-voice functionality on device. These may include Kokoro voice model resources, sherpa-onnx, ONNX Runtime, eSpeak-NG / espeak-ng-data, and other speech-processing resources required for local voice generation.

These components remain subject to their own open-source licenses, copyright notices, attribution requirements, and source-code availability requirements. INGOAMPT does not claim ownership of third-party open-source AI models, libraries, or voice resources. The App is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by the authors or maintainers of Kokoro, sherpa-onnx, ONNX Runtime, eSpeak-NG, or related projects unless explicitly stated.

Open-source components used or referenced by the App may include, depending on the App version and bundled resources:

Kokoro voice model/resources: Apache License 2.0 or the applicable license published with the model/resources.
sherpa-onnx: Apache License 2.0 or the applicable license published by the project.
ONNX Runtime: MIT License or the applicable license published by Microsoft/ONNX Runtime.
eSpeak-NG / espeak-ng-data: GNU GPL version 3 or later, or the applicable license published by the project.

Because open-source licenses may require preservation of notices, license texts, copyright statements, attribution, and in some cases source-code availability, INGOAMPT aims to provide required open-source notices in the App, on the INGOAMPT website, or upon request.

The Privacy Policy itself is not a replacement for required open-source license texts. For commercial distribution, INGOAMPT should keep the applicable open-source notices and license texts available to users, including notices for Kokoro, sherpa-onnx, ONNX Runtime, and eSpeak-NG / espeak-ng-data where applicable.

9. Open-Source License Notices Included in This Policy

This section provides a practical notice summary for open-source and third-party AI voice components used or referenced by the App. The exact license texts and copyright notices from the relevant projects should also be preserved where required.

Kokoro Voice Model / Kokoro Voice Resources

The App uses Kokoro voice resources for offline English text-to-voice generation. Kokoro is an open-weight text-to-speech model, and the Kokoro model resources are listed as Apache License 2.0 on the public model page.

Kokoro resources are provided by their respective authors and contributors. INGOAMPT does not claim ownership of Kokoro or its original model resources. Use of Kokoro resources is subject to the license and terms published with the relevant Kokoro model files.

sherpa-onnx

The App may include or use sherpa-onnx components to run offline speech or text-to-speech functionality on device. sherpa-onnx is provided by its respective authors and contributors and is distributed under the Apache License 2.0 or the applicable license published by the project.

ONNX Runtime

The App may include or use ONNX Runtime to run ONNX model inference on device. ONNX Runtime is provided by Microsoft and contributors and is distributed under the MIT License or the applicable license published by the project.

eSpeak-NG / espeak-ng-data

The App may include or use eSpeak-NG data files or related resources required by the offline Kokoro / sherpa-onnx text-to-voice pipeline. eSpeak-NG is distributed under the GNU General Public License version 3 or later, or the applicable license published by the project.

Because GPL-licensed components can include additional compliance obligations, including preservation of license notices and possible source-code availability obligations, INGOAMPT aims to provide required license information and source-code availability information where applicable.

10. Generated Voice Use and User Responsibility

The Kokoro voice feature is provided as a text-to-speech utility. Users are responsible for the text they enter and the audio they generate.

Users should not use generated voice audio for deception, impersonation, harassment, fraud, illegal activity, or violation of third-party rights.

You are responsible for the videos, audio files, text, transcripts, and generated audio you process with the App. You should only use content that you own, created yourself, have permission to use, or are legally allowed to process.

You should not use the App to:

Process copyrighted files without permission where permission is required;
Generate or share illegal, harmful, deceptive, defamatory, or infringing content;
Impersonate another person or suggest that generated audio is a real recording of someone when it is not;
Violate privacy, publicity, copyright, trademark, or other rights of others;
Bypass platform rules, app store rules, or applicable laws.

11. How We Use Information

We and our third-party providers may use information for the following purposes:

To provide the App’s video, audio, transcription, and text-to-voice features;
To generate offline Kokoro text-to-voice audio on your device;
To show ads to free users;
To manage consent choices;
To process and restore the Pro in-app purchase through Apple;
To understand general App usage and improve the App;
To understand the purchase funnel and improve advertising performance;
To diagnose bugs, crashes, and performance issues;
To prevent fraud, abuse, and misuse;
To comply with legal obligations.

12. What We Do Not Do

We do not require account registration.
We do not ask users to create a profile.
We do not sell your selected videos, audio files, transcripts, typed text, extracted audio, or generated voice audio.
We do not operate a server that stores your selected videos, selected audio files, extracted audio files, typed text, transcripts, or generated voice audio.
We do not intentionally log the actual typed text, transcript text, selected audio content, selected video content, or generated voice audio content to Firebase Analytics.
We do not include Adobe services in this App.
We do not download YouTube videos or YouTube audio.

13. Sharing of Information

We may share or make information available only in the following situations:

With service providers: such as Google AdMob, Google User Messaging Platform, Firebase Analytics, and Apple services used by the App.
With Apple: for App Store purchases, restore purchases, Speech Recognition, and Apple platform services.
With your consent or action: when you choose to share text, audio, generated voice audio, or files using the iOS share sheet.
For legal reasons: if required by law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request.
To protect rights and safety: to protect the rights, property, or safety of INGOAMPT, users, or others.

14. Data Retention

INGOAMPT does not store your selected videos, selected audio files, extracted audio files, typed text, transcripts, or generated voice audio on an INGOAMPT server. Files and text you create or save remain on your device or in locations you choose, such as Files, Photos, or other apps.

The App may create temporary local files for extracted audio or generated Kokoro voice audio. You can delete saved files from the locations where you saved them. Temporary files may be removed by the App or by iOS behavior over time.

Third-party providers such as Google and Apple may retain data according to their own privacy policies and retention rules.

If you delete the App, locally stored App data may be removed from the device, subject to iOS behavior and any backups controlled by Apple or the user.

15. Your Choices and Controls

You can deny or revoke Photo Library access in iOS Settings.
You can deny or revoke Speech Recognition permission in iOS Settings.
You can manage tracking permission in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
You can manage Google ad personalization through Google Ads Settings.
You can clear text inside the App using the available clear buttons.
You can delete files you saved or shared from the locations where you saved them.
You can choose not to share generated audio or extracted files.
You can contact us to ask privacy questions or request deletion of data that we can reasonably identify and control.

16. Legal Bases for Processing in the EEA/UK

Where GDPR or similar laws apply, we may rely on the following legal bases:

Consent: for personalized advertising, tracking, and permissions where required.
Contract: to provide App functionality and Pro unlock features requested by the user.
Legitimate interests: to improve the App, understand general usage, improve advertising performance, prevent fraud, and maintain security, where permitted by law.
Legal obligation: to comply with applicable laws and enforceable requests.

17. California and Other Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, or information about certain data practices. You may also have the right to opt out of sale or sharing of personal information or targeted advertising where applicable.

INGOAMPT does not directly sell your selected videos, audio files, typed text, transcripts, extracted audio, or generated voice audio. However, advertising SDKs may process identifiers and usage data for advertising purposes as described in this Privacy Policy.

18. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

19. International Data Transfers

Third-party providers such as Google and Apple may process information in countries outside your country of residence. Where required, data transfers are handled according to the privacy and legal mechanisms used by those providers.

20. Security

We use reasonable measures to protect information within our control. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. Users should only process files they own or have permission to use.

21. Third-Party Links and Services

The App or this policy may link to third-party websites or services, such as Google, Apple, Kokoro, Hugging Face, sherpa-onnx, ONNX Runtime, eSpeak-NG, or other open-source project pages. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, licensing terms, or content of third-party websites or services. Please review their privacy policies and license terms before using them.

The App may include open-source software, AI models, voice resources, or related data files. Use of these components is governed by their own licenses and notices. INGOAMPT aims to respect applicable license terms, attribution requirements, and notice requirements.
